Sent an email to my hometown Crystal City Soccer Club asking if they needed any youth coaches for the Spring season. I'm hoping my varsity soccer stint in HS plus my four years of camp couseloring qualifies me. I couldn't find a nickname for the team, so I'm trying to figure out the best one...Crystal City Cougars...Crystal City Capitols...what does my small readership think?

Though all your alliterative names sound appealing, I can't get around the fact that you'll have spelt "CCC" as your acronym. And I can't help associating that with Campus Crusade for Christ.;)
Is it possible for the players to have any say in their name?
I guess that does make CCC somwhat problematic (though what do 9-yr-olds know of Campus Crusade for Christ). I have no idea how naming works, it seemed that they didn't have a name and were just "Crystal City." But maybe each age group has their own name and thus there isn't one overall.
Crystal City Rachels.
I'll be sure to pass that one along. We'll see what the kids think :)
I like Rachel's idea. Your acronym is then the same as a fantastic band. Your theme music could be Bad Moon Rising. Or Fortunate Son. Or even Lodi...
